We are pet sitting guinea pigs for the week, Zoe & Daisy. My dearest friend and her family are spending the week on the beaches of Hawaii. When the opportunity to pet sit her guinea pigs was offered, I accepted immediately. Finn has been obsessed with small rodents since G-Force (the movie). We will enjoy them for the week and then home they go, a win win situation.
At times, our hallway smells like the San Diego Fair
(Feed Hay has a unique smell)
Grandma Cher recently dropped off a book on Guinea Pigs, it came in handy with familiarizing ourselves with proper care for our foster pets. Have you heard, if you hold a guinea pig by the tail, their eyes will pop out.........needless to say, we will not be trying this.
This book offers everything from history of the guinea pig to building cages, indoor & outdoor versions. If you are planning on adding a guinea pig to your family, I highly recommend this book.
Having Zoe & Daisy in our home has brought back memories of my brother and his love for his guinea pig Gwenie. He was very attached to her, they spent their childhood/teenage years together. Sadly, she passed away while he was at college.

P.S. To us, Zoe & Daisy have been house guests,
to our cat Delilah they represent dinner.
