I was picked up in style by a blonde in a BMW M3 on a beatufiul Thursday evening....this is starting to sound racy!!! Can you think of a better way to start "Girls Night Out"?
Even the seats are gorgeous. Thanks Dave for swaping cars with your wife, it was the perfect accompaniment to our evening! I promise we didn't street race enroute.....shhhhh Mary.
We were headed to Balboa Park......first on the agenda: cocktails & dinner at the Prado Restaurant & second.....the Broadway Play: Brighten Beach Memoirs.
Believe it or not.....this picture was actually taken by "Eugene" from Brighton Beach Memoirs, when we asked him to take our photo we had no idea he was in the ensemble. He was just one young man waiting outside the restaurant. He was really sweet and it makes this photo extra special. Thank you Eugene AKA: Austyn Myers.

Myself, Mary and her sister Karen......you wouldn't believe what was leaving in Karen's purse, our waiter was very kind and sent us off to the Old Globe with our almost full bottle of Cabernet. (The Prado has a takeaway license, totally legal). He even included paper cups so we didn't have to swig out of the bottle. Don't you just love good customer service?

Opening scene of Brighton Beach Memoirs at the Old Globe, we had front row balcony seats and a bottle of wine, a better evening can't be found!
My review: Remember the young man "Eugene" who took our photo? Super Star....I see a Tony Award in his future! Personally I thought he was better than Matthew Broderick & Johnathan Silverman who I have seen in similar Neil Simon productions.
