No need to wait for the husband....Finn, Samson and I ran out this morning and hung our flag from the trees using T straps. (Don't you just love T-straps?) 

We have Santa Ana weather conditions today (strong dry winds from the Northeast if you don't live here) which is conducive to flag flying.  Our flag is whipping and blowing in the wind, attracting all who drive by.  I notice many of our neighbors also put their flags out this morning and it is a site to behold....all those stars and stripes flying high!

Alas, I transgress.....I want to thank the men and woman in the military (those who have already served and those serving now) for their service to the United States of America.  Our family honors you on this special day!

Lastly, in sadness & sorrow.....the Gustafson's have dedicated this Veteran's Day to our family Friend, Tom Goodwin (Goodie).  He is a Veteran who was a United States Marine!  Semper Fi!  He has been fighting a strong battle with cancer with only minutes, days left upon this Earth.  We are better people for having Goodie in our lives and can't thank him enough for his service and friendship! We love you.  Remember, it is never goodbye.....we will meet again over the next rise.
